By using a black background, the viewer’s attention is drawn to the illustrations and movement. Making the text white improves readability and helps clarify the flow of the story. I chose a hand-drawn style font to create a slightly softer feeling, aiming to convey a gentle and empathetic atmosphere that resonates with the viewer’s emotions.

<Techniques Applied>

For the composition of the illustrations, I mainly used circular and cross layouts.

For the movement, I use techniques such as moment-to-moment and action-to-action.

For the balance of shadows, I refer to examples like Looking Down, Feeling Down and Weird Beats, Weird Shots.

<Self Reflection>

When creating the illustrations, I carefully adjusted the movements and lighting,

and considered how to attract and capture the viewer’s attention.

However, it was challenging to decide on the color scheme and to grasp the overall flow of movement.

3. REFLECTION

In this assignment, I created a short animation based on a well-known quote. Although this was not my first time creating moving images, I learned many new things that I had not experienced before, such as choosing appropriate fonts and presenting text in ways that match the visuals. As a result, this assignment became a very valuable learning experience for me.

I am still far from proficient, but I have come to strongly realize that learning from various perspectives—not only animation—can ultimately lead to better outcomes. I would like to continue applying what I learned in this class to create my own works in the future.
